After the successful launch in September 2011, Seva organized the second Seva Business Club meeting on 9th of December 2011. The Seva Business Club is an initiative to promote businesses in the countries of origin of the Diaspora communities in The Netherlands. It strives to bring together ambitious entrepreneurs with investment ideas in the countries of origin, financiers and others in order to facilitate the requirements of the Diaspora business back home. Approximately 40 entrepreneurs attended the event which was opened by Mr. Radj Bhondoe (director of Seva Network Foundation). After this, one of the participants of the Trade Mission to Ghana, Mrs. Lilian Connor, spoke about her experiences during the visit to Ghana which took place in November 2011. The last speaker was Mr. Klaas Molenaar (founder of IntEnt and Triodos Facet). He had an interesting speech about doing business in developing countries. After an exciting round of questions, it was time for some food and drinks and of course a good opportunity to network with each other. The Seva Business Club is a quarterly get-together. The next meeting will take place on Friday 30th of March 2012. If you would like to become a member of the Seva Business Club, kindly fill in the application form.
